Everyone wants to be the best developer and good to see that you want to be the best developer.
You don't need the talent to become the best developer all you need is hard work and dedication to towards your goal. You will get know that NO ONE IS THE BEST DEVELOPER in the world when you involve yourself in the real-time projects and working in the team, but you can keep improving your self by practicing.
If you're beginner then the important thing choosing a programming language. There are many programming languages such as C++, Java, PHP, Python, NodeJS, .. etc,. and you need to choose one among them start your career. Don't worry, I have seen people switching from one programming language to another programming based on the requirements. So, don't bother choosing the best programming language, all those programming languages in the market exist and popular because of their own importance.
I suggest getting started with C programming because it helps to learn basics of programming such how the computer understands the C instructions and how instructions are converted into the 0's and 1's. It will easy for you if you learn C programming first as syntax will similar in other languages as well.
You can't master all languages in a single day, you may choose any programming language and keep practicing. As far as I know, getting familiar with one programming language may not help you to become the best developer so try to be familiar with more than 2 languages such as C++/Python/Java/PHP and front-end frameworks and backend frameworks as well.
There are plenty of resources online to master in programming languages so take the advantage of internet and learn new things every day. The Internet is your teacher. As I mentioned earlier, you can't all the programming languages but whatever you're learning is a just drop in the ocean.
To keep yourself engaged and motivated, I suggest working with a group/friends so that you can learn and share ideas knowledge. As per my knowledge, this is a great idea by which everyone can master easily. Therefore, keep learning with your friends or group of people who can code.
Most of my friends say that they wanted to be a good developer but they will never practice. I feel like you want to drive the car without tyres, so keep practicing.
If you're going college student, then this is the right time to start get started your journey for becoming the best developer by joining online education portals such as Udemy, Pluralsight because your college may not teach you anything that you are going to work in future. I do not mean that college is not important of course. It is important as well. But learning in College alone is insufficient to be a good developer, so keep learning via the Internet

let me clarify if you don't have enough technical skills. you can be taught by resources on the Internet or the mentors but Soft-skill is unlike them. It totally depends on you so you are the one who should improve that
