  1. Sehwag received his first one-day international man of the match in 4th ODI against Australia in Bangalore on scoring 58 runs off 54 balls and with 3 wickets in March 2001 which led the India victory over the Australia.
  2.  Sehwag scored his maiden century in just 69 balls against New Zealand in 2001 at Colombo, This was the 3rd fastest century for an Indian to score after the Mohammad Azharuddin and Yuvraj, who scored in 62 and 64 balls respectively.
  3.  In ICC Champions Trophy 2002, Sehwag played a crucial role in scoring 128 runs off 104 balls which helped the team winning against the England by 8 wickets and won the man of the match.
  4.   In World Cup 2003 final against Australia, Sehwag scored 82 runs in match chasing. Unfortunately, India lost by 109 runs.
  5.  In TVS cup 2003, against New Zealand at Hyderabad, Sehwag slammed 130 runs from 134 balls with a partnership of 182 runs for the first wicket, also Sachin made 102 runs in this match.  
  6.  During the Pakistan tour of India, 2005 at Kochi, Sehwag managed to score the 108 runs off 95 balls, and took Man of the match award.
  7.  In India tour of Bangladesh, 2004 at Dhaka, Sehwag was awarded Man of the match for scoring 70 runs off 85 balls and with his bowling economy of 5.16 which helped India to win the match.
  8.  In world cup 2007, Sehwag scored 114 runs off 87 balls against Bermuda, In this match, India gave a target of 414.
  9. Sehwag broke the fastest century record by scoring 100 runs in 60 balls against New Zealand in 2009 tour 
  10. Sehwag reached the milestone of 8,000 career runs and a double century in the same innings. In this innings, he scored a highest  ODI score in 2011 against West Indies by hitting 219 runs off only 145 balls at Indore Stadium
